I’m an experienced SAT/ACT tutor and can provide top-notch subject tutoring spanning from 3rd grade through university. My students have achieved considerable point increases within all sections of the SAT and ACT, and I also provide test-taking strategies and advice.
I enjoy getting to know my students and catering my lesson plans to individual interests, strengths and weaknesses. As a tutor, I position myself as an older-sister figure for advice on academics, test-taking, and college applications, as well as on managing stress, maintaining a school-life balance and mentally preparing for college. I believe that students are worth more than their grades and test scores and that my role is to make previously challenging subjects less daunting and more manageable.
As a professional writer and editor, I’m eager to help with college essays, English papers and other writing endeavors. I work to bring out the writer’s true voice and present ideas in the best possible light.
I graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2019 with a B.A. in Rhetoric with honors and Phi Beta Kappa membership, along with minors in Human Rights and Creative Writing.
