Jennifer

Jennifer is a tutor and former teacher with over nine years of experience. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2013 with a major in Theatre. While there, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Since graduating, tutoring has helped her support herself as she pursues directing and filmmaking.

Jennifer recently moved back from New York City, where she spent the last two years teaching in two private schools there. These schools specialized in one on one education, and many of the students had learning challenges and special needs. She’d assess where the student was in their math class when they arrived at the schools and create a curriculum that would best serve their learning needs. She loved the challenge of finding what worked for a specific student and would constantly be touching base with the other teachers, therapists, and heads of school to understand how she could best serve the student.
Her experience has led her to teach a variety of students of all ages, but she finds that she mostly work with students on math, reading/writing, and test prep. Most of all, she loves learning and enjoys passing that enthusiasm on to her students.

When not in the classroom, she enjoys reading, going to live music and movies, exploring Los Angeles, and cooking.
