I’m a former college lecturer and have been helping students achieve outstanding results in essay writing and college admissions for more than 20 years. When tutoring for standardized tests, my philosophy is to avoid gimmicks, hone the underlying skills that the tests assess, and show students how to apply their knowledge effectively to the particular format of the test. This approach typically means that students take away improved skills in reading, writing, and mathematics that apply far beyond the test. Many of my students have scored in the 99th percentile of the SAT or ACT, and dozens have achieved perfect scores.
