Hello! My name is Lucia and I am a student at the University of California, San Diego. I am fourth year International Studies- Literature major. Most of my classes focus on international relations, history, economics, politics through the lens of literature. My third year of college I did a Human Rights and Cultural Memory study abroad program that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile. Through this program I was able to study and perfect my language abilities. In addition to that, traveling and learning in a different country opened my eyes to the different ways people are taught and how people learn. My educational background includes trilingual education since kindergarten through eight grade, and dual language classes from kindergarten to senior year of high school. I studied Japanese for 9 years and have studied Spanish for 12+ years. Additionally, most of my high school experience included business competitions that furthered my leadership skills and public speaking abilities.
