Michelle

I have worked as a reading and writing tutor for nearly six years. I specialize in reading and writing, as well as test prep and college admission essays.

I began tutoring at the UC Berkeley’s Student Learning Center, where I was routinely rated the top tutor in the writing program and, in my senior year, I wrote and facilitated a six-week-long writing workshop. I also worked as a writing tutor in UC Berkeley’s Athlete Studies Center.

I currently work as a staff writer at the San Francisco Chronicle’s news site, SFGATE, where I write daily breaking news — my record is eight stories in one day — and features, with an emphasis on lifestyle, literature and arts. I have also continued working as a private tutor, especially with students who need help honing their college admission essays.

In the fall, I will be pursuing a PhD in English literature.

I look forward to working with students seeking help with writing, reading, English literature, and college essay help, among other subjects. I work with all ages, from K-12 to college.
