About IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

Succeed as a non-native English speaker and achieve a respectable education.

Our experienced tutors help students get into the international university of their dreams by dispelling the myths and mysteries associated with the IELTS examination. Our tutors will teach you the traps and tricks behind conquering Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking so that you score higher than you ever have. Our IELTS specialists implement evidence-based teaching approaches utilizing the most ideal study tools—real IELTSs. Our IELTS specialists believe in the importance of reviewing both correct and missed questions with our students, explaining each clearly. We understand that mastering the thinking-process behind a correct answer is as effective as knowing why a question was incorrect. In addition, to target where students are disengaging, our tutors counsel students on the important, frequently overlooked details like time management during the exam, questions to skip, prior-night planning, and what to do the morning of test day.

The exam is scored on a percentile scale from 1-100 and is administered on a computer.
The Listening section is a 30 minute, 4 question section.
The Reading section is a 60-minute, 40 question section.
The Writing section is a 60-minute, 2 task section.
The Speaking section is a 11-14-minute, 3 task section.
Totaling about 44 questions, 5 tasks, and around 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes) of examination time.

I've tutored on-and-off most of my adult life. During college, I tutored high school and middle-school students. Most recently, I've tutored a group of at-risk students. I've been successful in tutoring because I find it easier to instill instinct and intuition than to teach rules and formulas. Helping with homework is a great way to find and fill...
