About PCAT

PCAT

We know that numerous students struggle on the chemistry section on the PCAT. When applying to pharmacy school, you need the leg up.
Our experienced tutors help students get into the pharmacy of their dreams by dispelling the myths and mysteries associated with the PCAT examination. Our tutors will teach you the traps and tricks behind conquering Writing, Biological Processes, Chemical Processes, Critical Reading and Quantitative Reasoning so that you score higher than you ever have. Our PCAT specialists implement evidence-based teaching approaches utilizing the most ideal study tools—real PCATs. Our PCAT specialists believe in the importance of reviewing both correct and missed questions with our students, explaining each clearly. We understand that mastering the thinking-process behind a correct answer is as effective as knowing why a question was incorrect. In addition, to target where students are disengaging, our tutors counsel students on the important, frequently overlooked details like time management during the exam, questions to skip, prior-night planning, and what to do the morning of test day.

The exam is scored on a 200-600 scale and is administered on a computer.
The Writing section is a 30 minute, 1 prompt section.
The Biological Processes section is a 40-minute, 48 question section.
The Chemical Processes section is a 40-minute, 48 question section.
The Critical Reading section is a 50-minute, 48 question section.
The Quantitative Reasoning section is a 45-minute, 48 question section.

Totaling about 192 questions, 1 prompt, and around 205 minutes (3 hours and 25 minutes) of examination time.

I've tutored on-and-off most of my adult life. During college, I tutored high school and middle-school students. Most recently, I've tutored a group of at-risk students. I've been successful in tutoring because I find it easier to instill instinct and intuition than to teach rules and formulas. Helping with homework is a great way to find and fill...
