Michael

I am a senior at Boston University, majoring in English and Minoring in French, while also speaking Russian. My fluency in these languages allows me to differentiate and analyze various texts in their respective historical contexts. I have an in-depth understanding of grammatical rules and stylistic structures, textual analysis, and explication, and am proficient in proof-reading essays of any student. My experience with the core texts that are taught in the United States will allow me to come prepared to help any student with their respective critical analyses.

In addition, my passion for films, TV, and scriptwriting keeps me constantly improving in my understanding of the nuances within the English language, which is key for tutoring and analyzing texts from any period.

My style is that of a laid-back attitude with an emphasis on repetition of exercises; that is the best way to de-stress my students, allowing them to efficiently practice until they find their own writing voice and method of analysis.

My ACT score was a 33 composite.
