Hello! I’m excited to tutor you and determine what style works best for you and what will ultimately get you results! I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA and started my career in Early Childhood Education at the University of Pittsburgh in Fall of 2003. I worked with Pre-K students in preparing them for Kindergarten so as you can imagine, this taught me a lot of patience in the classroom as well as creativity! Upon completing my Graduate program in Public Health, I then became an Adjunct Professor for a local college in Maryland and worked with adult learners in preparing them for their careers and life after college. I have much experience grading college papers and essays and I know first hand what colleges and universities consider when determining what makes for an ‘A’ paper.

Outside of tutoring and teaching, I’m also a Behavioral Health worker and I coach individuals to sustain and maintain confidence to excel in both their personal lives and careers. I have experience in leadership roles, public speaking and training facilitation so I have plenty of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and understand there are various approaches to learning.

I thoroughly enjoy working with students to discover their better self and to gain confidence in their learning. Requesting a tutor doesn’t necessarily mean that you are not doing well in school or that you are having difficulty learning. Tutoring can give you that extra confidence and certainty that you are on the right path and even learn a bit more outside of the classroom. Consider yourself amazing for taking the first step to invest in your learning outside of the classroom and I look forward to learning with you!
