About DAT

DAT (Dental Admission Test)

Many students encounter difficulty when they need to abstractly comprehend the Perceptual Ability Test on the DAT. Succeeding on the DAT requires mastery in familiarity and repetition.
Our experienced tutors help students get into the Dental School of their dreams by dispelling the myths and mysteries associated with the DAT examination. Our tutors will teach you the traps and tricks behind conquering Natural Sciences, Perceptual Ability, Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Reasoning so that you score higher than you ever have. Our DAT specialists implement evidence-based teaching approaches utilizing the most ideal study tools—real DATs. Our DAT specialists believe in the importance of reviewing both correct and missed questions with our students, explaining each clearly. We understand that mastering the thinking-process behind a correct answer is as effective as knowing why a question was incorrect. In addition, to target where students are disengaging, our tutors counsel students on the important, frequently overlooked details like time management during the exam, questions to skip, prior-night planning, and what to do the morning of test day.

The exam is scored on a percentile scale from 1-30 and is administered on a computer and in print format.
The Survey of Natural Sciences section is a 90 minute, 100 question section.
The Perceptual Ability Test section is a 60-minute, 90 question section.
The Reading Comprehension Test section is a 60-minute, 50 question section.
The Quantitative Reasoning Test section is a 45-minute, 40 question section.
Totaling 280 questions and around 300 minutes (5 hours) of examination time.
